Fremont Motor Company car dealerships opened its doors to the public in 1938 in Lander, Wyoming. Fremont Motors is located in 6 different locations all over the state of Wyoming. Communities with dealerships include: Lander, Cody, Powell, Sheridan, Rawlins. The current dealerships sell 8 vehicle lines including Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge, Ford, Mercury, Lincoln, GMC, and Toyota. While there are several companies involved in the organization, all are family owned and Wyoming corporations. All are active in their communities by sponsoring local events and volunteering where needed. There are over 350 people employed by all the Fremont Stores combined. Along with the 6 different dealerships, Fremont Motors also has its own Auto Collision Center, AutoNet Credit Center, Transportation Center, and Management Company that operate independently of the dealerships.
